How to love, heal and trust your body (and even its symptoms)
Hey mama-bear,
When I was going through IVF, there was on average 20ish women in the waiting room.
It was like we were cattle, waiting to move through the sluggish line.
The routine was always the same. Blood work, get undressed, ultrasound, get dressed, talk to the doctor/nurse. Leave.
The environment bred this thought of, “My body feels like a machine that needs fixing.”
But when I would go home, I would nurture the fuck out of my body.
I would sing to my body.
I would hang out in long cuddles with my husband.
I would feed it nurturing soups.
I would caress it in the bath, telling it how proud I was of it and everything it’s been through.
This is what’s missing in the fertility world.
We get caught up in the physical, the numbers, the odds of success… and forget that our bodies are a living, breathing thing.
Your body need to be reassured of its miracle status. Reassured that you’ll love it no matter what ends up happening. Reassured that it’s #1 side kick… YOU… have its back no matter what.

To describe it to you in the SIMPLEST way… is to imagine your body like a dog -- I know, not the best example – but your body LIVES for your love and affection. And it’s able to give SOO much back to you, when you acknowledge its energetic presence – beyond your fertility score.
