How to Strengthen Your Muscle of Receiving

So many of the women I work with have this in common:

Ever since they were a little girl, they wanted a baby and to be a mom more than anything in the world.

It’s been their #1 desire. Their non-negotiable. Their every-fucking-thing.

Which makes this journey THAT much more confusing and frustrating.

You see, I was also that little girl. I spent my youth playing house, asking for dolls at every birthday/Christmas and spent my free time watching birth stories on TLC. All I wanted to do when I grew up was to “be a mom.”

I realized on my fertility journey that when we want something THE MOST, our mind and bodies believe we are receiving something SO BIG… almost TOO big that it scares us.

It’s like it’s too big to let yourself finally receive it.

We put the baby WAY up high on the pedestal, because receiving something that big feels out of touch and out of reach.
